I have some scoop from Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage (Project Sekai). The news is that the TUYU tracks are getting removed from Project Sekai. If you’ve been following the news, you probably have guessed why. If not, then here’s the scoop.
‘When the Morning Glories Fall’ and ‘What Kind of Ending Do You Want?’ are the TUYU tracks getting cut out of the Project Sekai playlist. The developers announced on their official site and social media that this isn’t just for the Japanese version. It’s for all versions of the game, including Global and Korean.
If you’re new, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage is a Japanese rhythm game. Released in 2020, it was developed by Colorful Palette and published by Sega. You get to play with Hatsune Miku, her five virtual friends and an original cast of 20 characters as they deal with their struggles through music.
The game is set in the real world where Virtual Singers only exist as fiction. features a mysterious song called ‘Untitled’ that has no melody or lyrics. This song lets you access ‘Sekai,’ a place where you find your true feelings and your own song.
TUYU is a Japanese music band consisting of Pusu (on guitar and composition), Rei (vocals) and Miro (piano). Last month, Pusu (real name Maya Yano), was arrested for attempting to murder his teenage girlfriend. He allegedly stabbed her with a kitchen knife.
The developers said these TUYU tracks will be removed in a future update of Project Sekai. Also, videos of them on the Project Sekai YouTube channel will be unlisted too. The developers seem to be trying to erase any trace of Pusu and TUYU from the game, and it’s understandable.
Following the incident, the band has disbanded. TUYU had already planned to take a break after their 2024 tour, but this scandal sped things up. More details on when the future update will drop will be released soon.
So yeah, it’s a bummer to see those TUYU tracks go from Project Sekai, but it makes sense given the situation. You can check Project Sekai out
