This is probably the second most inconvenient schedule in the game (behind Marnie’s inconsistent and unpredictable hours at her shop), but it seems there is finally an answer as to why Pierre’s shop takes a mid-week break.

Are players ruining her favorite weekly meal by running Joja Mart out of business? Or does Pierre concede to letting the shop smell a little fishy despite his initial complaints? It's an interesting bit of lore, adding more wrinkles to what is already a complicated in-game relationship.
Of the pre-established relationships in, there are few that are entirely sturdy. Mayor Lewis refuses to publicly acknowledge to the town that he’s dating Marnie, despite it being a well-known secret. Demetrius and Robin have fought in front of the player, and the new 1.6 dialogue only delves into their rift further. Pierre and Caroline are probably the rockiest of the bunch (since Abigail may not even be Pierre’s biological daughter), but players have found plenty of reasons to hate the fictional shopkeeper.
