Sony has shifted more than 2.5m copies of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in just 24 hours.
The eye-catching total makes the Spidey sequel Sony's fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever — referring to releases made by the company's own studios.
That ginormous launch means Spider-Man 2 hit the 2.5m copies milestone faster than any God of War, Uncharted or The Last of Us. It's also faster to that total than Spider-Man 1.

Sony's own sales data here talks in terms of games «sold through» to PlayStation 5 owners. This will include both boxed games bought in bricks and mortar shops, as well as digital copies of the game that have been downloaded.
