A new Cyberpunk 2077 patch is now live on PC and consoles, introducing various optimizations, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
Patch 2.02, which is around 11 GB big on PC, mostly focuses on fixes for the Phantom Liberty expansion, introducing rebalanced time limits for Vehicle Contracts, fixes for animations, lighting, scenes, VFX, quest-specific fixes, and much more.
The new Cyberpunk 2077 patch also rebalances the stats of some weapons based on player feedback, fixes some issues related to NPCs and some perks, like the Data Recyler perk, and brings some PC-specific improvements, such as default graphics settings picking the proper Quick Preset based on hardware and the latest system recommendations. Additionally, the patch introduces various unspecified optimizations, performance improvements, and crash fixes.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide. The Phantom Libery expansion, of which you can learn more with Alessio's review, is only available on PC and current generation consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty builds upon what was an already great game to deliver more fantastic storytelling (with a spy thriller theme, this time around), exciting combat, and very high-quality side content. The perk tree overhaul is a major improvement to progression, and additions like vehicle combat and the overhauled police system are very welcome, albeit not game-changing. If you've been holding out on Cyberpunk 2077 until now, you'll find a huge game with over 120 hours of quality content and an incredibly immersive game world to literally lose yourself in.
