Sons of the Forest has finally released its 1.0 update. Sons of the Forest considered by many to be one of the best horror games of 2023, and now that it has left early access, gamers can finally play its complete version.

Sons of the Forest is the sequel to The Forest, a popular survival game in which the players have to survive on an island full of monstrous cannibals after a plane crash. Unlike its predecessor, however, which took around four years to release its 1.0 version, Sons of the Forest managed to do it in a single year.

Now, developer Endnight Games has released the 1.0 update for Sons of the Forest, and it’s a game-changer. The update is huge and touches on essentially all aspects of the experience in some way. While the early access version of the game already had the complete storyline, the update adds an alternative ending, as well as five new cutscenes, and some more bits of lore spread around the world. Due to these changes, Endnight Games recommends players start a new save file to play, as they may miss out on new content if they use an older file.

From the hundreds of changes made to Sons of the Forest with the update, a few stand out. The 1.0 version of the game will add two new mutants: Legsy and Holey, as well as a new sickness system, more caves, items, achievements, and much more.
