Originally set to launch this month, Frogwares confirmed recently that its cosmic horror remake of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened had been delayed to April “at the latest” due to the hurdles the Kyiv-based developer was facing behind the scenes, brought about by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The studio has now confirmed a new release date for it.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened will be out a little over a month from now, on April 11. Frogwares has also announced that the game has gone gold and is content-complete, which means it’s now playable from start to finish, with the developer presumably now focusing on polishing up the experience. Check out its release date announcement trailer below.
Frogwares has also revealed the three editions of the game that will be available at launch. The Standard Edition will retail for $39.99, while the Deluxe Edition will retail for $49.99 and include additional side quest packs and six exclusive outfits. Finally, the Premium Edition, which will only be available on PC, will retail for $54.99, and in addition to everything included in the Deluxe Edition, will also come with a digital art book and soundtrack.
Pre-orders for the game have also gone live on all digital storefronts. Those who pre-order it will receive 3 custom in-game outfits for Holmes and Watson.
When it launches, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
