SEGA has played Sonic fans the world over with a pretty amusing bit of DLC for its colourful side-scroller, Sonic Superstars. To celebrate the announcement of Sonic X Shadow Generations, a new costume is now available for free, and it brings the infamous anti-hero, Shadow the Hedgehog, to the action — well, kind of.
The DLC isn't actually a full-blown playable Shadow, as fans would want. Instead, it's an outfit for Sonic that makes it look like he's wearing a Shadow costume. You can see what we mean in the above video; it gives the effect of playing as Shadow, but Sonic's telltale blue interrupts the look.
It's quite funny. SEGA probably could've spent a little more time to make this a full-on reskin for Sonic, especially as the characters are parallels of each other. However, making the Shadow costume literally a costume is somehow worse and better at the same time.
Anyway, will you be rocking the Shadow outfit in Sonic Superstars? Live and learn in the comments section below.

Haven't even started this game yet even though i bought it for £30 last month. I'll probably start it this weekend and use the shadow skin.
That makes me sort of, but not really, happy
@EliteSlayer I got it for Christmas and played through the whole game as Christmas Sonic. Was fun!
I love everything about this DLC. Well played Sega!
