SEGA purchased Rovio a little while ago now, so it’s a surprise it’s taken this long for Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds to meet. But as of right now, the two franchises have clashed in five smartphone games, through until 21st March. This includes Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, Angry Birds Friends, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.
Each event is unique and specific to the parent game, but as you’d expect there are rewards for participating and unique unlocks. SEGA is describing this as the “crossover event of the year”, but it’s clearly got its tongue firmly lodged in its cheek. It’ll be interesting to see whether any of Sonic’s console outings add Angry Birds in the future as well.

@BeerIsAwesome I think sega hate sonic too judging by the amount of terrible games the poor little hedgehog has “starred” in!

I sent at least 3 emails to Sega asking for this.
