pushsquare.comIs that Ellie from The Last of Us we see in this trailer for mobile zombie shooter Doomsday: Last Survivors? No, on closer inspection, this is a character called Peggy – who’s basically Ellie. In fact, pretty much all of the game’s characters look agonisingly similar to someone more popular; Cynthia Calamity is effectively Jill Valentine from Resident Evil and Catherine Calamity looks a lot like Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw.
This trailer was brought to our attention because it’s currently running an in-game event with Mai Shiranui from The King of Fighters (thanks, Greatsong1). And yeah, this time it’s not a knock-off – developer IGG’s got official approval from SNK to incorporate the character into its post-apocalyptic world. We daresay the likes of Naughty Dog and Capcom would raise an eyebrow at some of its “original” character designs, though.
