That cinematic trailer still looks as impressive as the cutscene graphics for most PS5 releases, like Final Fantasy 16.
Since the initial trailer for Chrono Odyssey, Npixel had stayed somewhat quiet, drip-feeding information to gamers who enjoyed what they saw. In April 2023, Chrono Odyssey's social media accounts began to share facts and concept art about the game, as well as occasional clips of gameplay. Much of the shared work teased the idea that players will face brutally strong enemies that will require teamwork to take down. In May, the first gameplay trailer for Chrono Odyssey was released, and it looked particularly ambitious.
Recently, Chrono Odyssey impressed gamers in its GDC 2024 trailer, showing off various sweeping landscapes. One of the most striking visuals is a snow-covered area with cubic architecture jammed into what would normally be rougher, rounder mountains and cliffs.
