Rare's open-world pirate game joins other former Xbox console exclusives Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Pentiment in making the jump to PlayStation. Recent rumors claim that many more Xbox titles are set to go multiplatform as well, with an insider saying that the majority of Xbox games will come to the PS5 «at some point.» The new strategy is apparently due to Xbox's struggling sales outside the United States, as Microsoft hopes to boost revenue by releasing some of the Xbox's better exclusives on competing platforms. While some Xbox fans are frustrated by the new approach, many PlayStation users welcome the expanded library of titles.
PlayStation enthusiasts will also welcome Sea of Thieves' massive lineup of Trophies, which was revealed by TrueTrophies. At launch, Sea of Thieves includes 60 base Trophies and 194 additional ones. To earn the Platinum Trophy for Sea of Thieves, users only need to complete the 60 base challenges. While it might seem a bit daunting to go after all 254 Trophies, users who already unlocked Sea of Thieves achievements on other platforms are in luck, as some Trophies automatically unlock after logging into the same account they previously used. However, the majority of Trophies need to be re-earned. PlayStation owners planning to sail the open waters can preorder Sea of Thieves for $40.
The Trophy list calls for users to take part in a wide variety of Sea of Thieves tasks, including challenges related to combat, sailing, looting, and more.
