There’s a flashback of Sukuna and Uraume talking about Yuji. Uraume asks Sukuna about Yuji because of his unexplainable power from the residue of Sukuna’s cursed energy left behind when Sukuna and Yuji separated. Sukuna says he ate his twin in the womb and the man Kenjaku created Yuji with was the reincarnation of his dead twin. Uraume wonders if Yuji also has Sukuna’s innate potential.

Back to the present fight, Yuji lands two consecutive Black Flashes on Sukuna. Yuji slices a part of a pillar and throws it at Sukuna. The narration explains Yuji possesses two cursed techniques: Blood Manipulation and Sukuna’s Shrine. Yuji grabs Sukuna’s leg and attempts to cut it using Sukuna’s technique. Sukuna counters it with slashes. Yuji goes through the slashes unbothered and lands another Black Flash on Sukuna.

Sukuna realizes Yuji’s cursed technique is the same as his, but slightly different because of the era and the user’s representation. The slashes don’t come off too strong since Yuji just learned it, but Sukuna thinks it’s ridiculous that Yuji can use it.

There’s another flashback of Ino asking Gojo, Shoko, and Ijichi if he can use Nanami’s cursed tool. Ino asked permission from them since the three were Nanami’s friends. Gojo says Ino can use Nanami’s weapon since Nanami trusted Ino out of everyone.

Ino attacks and summons a dragon using his cursed technique. Sukuna quickly eliminates the dragon and steps on Nanami’s weapon. At the time, he senses Yuji preparing to attack from behind. Yuji hits another Black Flash, making Sukuna angry.

Sukuna destroys the ground they are on and attempts to punch Yuji. But Yuji grabs his arm and sends him back to a wall. Sukuna can’t believe Yuji seems unfazed by his attacks. Yuji strikes with another Black Flash, and Sukuna grabs his face, injuring it. But Yuji hits a Black Flash again.
