Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Announces Biggest Raid Yet
has announced their biggest raid yet, with players able to battle and capture a Shiny Rayquaza for a limited time. While are done releasing new DLC for the game, Game Freak is continuing to release new content for the game in the form of raids and Mass Outbreaks. Some of these Mass Outbreaks ensure that players have a chance to collect version-exclusive Pokémon, while others offer unique challenges in the form of tough 7-Star raids featuring Starter Pokémon.
Today, The Pokémon Company announced a series of new Mass Outbreaks and raid events for. The news appears on 's news page and also was summarized by Serebii.The highlight announcement is a new 5-Star Raid featuring a Shiny Rayquaza as a Dragon Tera-type. This raid event will run from December 20th through January 5th and will allow players to capture Shiny Rayquaza once per save file. This raid is a tie-in with, which prominently features a Shiny Rayquaza as a recurring plot point.
In addition to the Rayquaza raid,will also host several additional 5-Star Raid battles to help build up to the Shiny Rayquaza raid. From November 29th through December 5th, Corviknight and Bellibolt will appear in 5-Star Raid Battles. That will be followed by Azumarill and Clodsire appearing in 5-Star Raid Battles from December 6th through December 12th. Finally, Annihilape and Kingambit will appear in 5-Star Raid Battles from December 13th to December 19th. Several of these Pokémon are specifically effective against Rayquaza in raids.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer an opportunity to obtain Gengar in-game, a Pokémon which is normally received through trading with other players.
Additionally, several Mass Outbreak periods are scheduled during the same period.
