NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have released the official launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 1.
The reboot launches later this week on September 19th and today's launch trailer shows the game's characters, combat, and plenty of Mortal Kombat-iconic gore. In addition, the trailer provides a glimpse at the game's story, new ways to play, alliances, origins, and more. It's an impressive showing, and fans of the series have eagerly been waiting for this reboot. You can check out the launch trailer below:
Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Over the past few months, we've received various trailers, including a gameplay trailer showing off the game's cameo system and fatalities. The game was officially revealed back in May of this year after a known leaker already leaked it earlier.
“Mortal Kombat 1 marks a new beginning for the franchise and we couldn’t be more excited to share this original storyline and fresh take on classic characters with our fans,” said Ed Boon, Chief Creative Officer, NetherRealm Studios and Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat upon the game's official announcement. “We’re also introducing our Kameo Fighter system which brings a unique roster of partner characters into the mix, and we are looking forward to showing this feature as well as more new elements of the game very soon.”
