Mortal Kombat 1 Fans Think The Halloween Event Has Been Delayed
thegamer.comMortal Kombat started its Halloween event with a Pit-themed Johnny Cage mansion, but the bulk of it was expected to be in Invasions' second season given that it's all about Nitara and bloodthirsty multiversal vampires. 'Tis the season to bite necks, after all. But there are rumours that it has been delayed, with the current Scorpion season being extended by a week.
These rumours were shared by prominent Mortal Kombat dataminer and leaker TheThiny, who also uncovered the next four seasons of Invasions - Nitara, Raiden, Mileena, and Sub-Zero. If Nitara's season has been delayed, that means the Halloween event consists of a single map variant and a paid fatality (the latter of which isn't going down well with the community whatsoever).

The patch notes mentioned this fatality but it was nowhere to be found in-game, so fans took to Twitter to ask Mortal Kombats' socials where it was. It's coming to the Premium Store tomorrow. It hasn't been shown in action officially, but leakers previously uncovered a fatality in which you put a jack-o-lantern on the enemy player's head, infesting them with bugs. They then fall to their knees and you behead them with a swift kick. It seems every character will be able to use this seasonal fatality, granted you fork out for it.
While no dates have been officially given for the future Invasions seasons, we do know that they're supposed to last around six weeks, which would mean that Scorpion's ends this week. If it has been delayed by seven days, that means we can expect Nitara's to begin in November instead, just after Halloween, missing the holiday entirely.
