The weather in the UK might not have a name this weekend, but it’s still pretty wet and rather blowy out there a moment. So… I’m not going to go out unless I absolutely have to. And I certainly won’t be braving any fireworks displays tomorrow. It’ll be a nice and cosy weekend of gaming for me. How about you?
Before we boot up our games of choice to make the next few hours disappear, let’s check in on the week that was in the gaming world.
And let’s check in on those game subscription updates.
We’re not out of the woods yet for this autumn’s throngs of game releases, and we’ve got a suitably packed slate of game reviews because of it. Football, dungeon crawling, rally racing and butt shaking are all on this week’s gaming to-do list.
Alongside all of that, Miguel checked out Dave the Diver on Nintendo Switch, Nic delved into the latest Persona 5 spin-off, with the XCOM-like strategy RPG of Persona 5 Tactica, and I went hands on with one of the last big games of 2023, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Can it be more than a big blue alien version of Far Cry?
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Alan Wake 2, WarioWare and WRC.

The Remedy-verse has taken over a bit, with what you’ve been playing.
And that’s a wrap for this week. Have a good weekend, stay dry, play some fun games, and we’ll catch you all soon!
