A modder is working on his own Max Payne RTX Remix mod with path tracing and a free demo has now been made available.
Some days ago we reported on an impressive Call of Duty 4 RTX Remix Path Tracing mod, and today we wanted to share this magnificent demo for this upcoming Max Payne RTX Remix Path Tracing mod. Created by modder 'Slasks Psykbunker', this project is rather exciting and offers remastered character models, assets as well as custom light sources. We've included a video of the upcoming mod in action below. As said, the modder has released a free demo, which fans of the original game will surely appreciate. Good to note is that this mod also packs support for NVIDIA's DLSS upscaling tech.
As confirmed by NVIDIA some days ago, the RTX Remix Creator Kit Open Beta will kick off next week. NVIDIA officially announced RTX Remix back in 2022,

Aside from this fan project, Max Payne developer Remedy Entertainment is currently working on remakes of the first two Max Payne games. Back in October of 2023, Remedy confirmed that these remakes have progressed to the production stage. "Max Payne 1&2 remake progressed into the production readiness stage", Remedy's CEO Tero Virtala said. "We have gained clarity on the style and scope of the game, and we have an exceptionally well-organized team working on it. With these accomplishments, we are excited about the project and its future success."
The official Max Payne remakes were announced for PC and consoles in 2022, and are coming as a single package. "Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know the millions of fans worldwide feel the same", Remedy said
