Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still going strong despite being available for nearly ten years if we count its initial release. Regardless, fans have continued to log in regularly to face others online, especially with the slew of new courses. Unfortunately, the last of the new courses have been added to the game, so whether that’s a sign that a new installment will be approaching soon is anyone’s guess. However, a new update was just pushed out to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. If you have been enjoying the game but found some of the latest maps or updates have created new bugs, well, you’re in luck.
This new update doesn’t take any strategies away like the last one but resolves several issues. The latest update will put the game up to version 3.0.1, and it comes with seven fixes. All of which should hopefully make the gameplay experience competitive without the annoying bugs that will cost you the race. We’ll list down all the issues below, but some of the highlights you will find are resolving gliders from now opening on the ramp past the suspension bridge in Tour Vancouver Velocity. Likewise, the bug that prevented players from getting a strong item from the Item Box has also been resolved.
As mentioned, these latest fixes are not taking away any strategies. If you recall, the last major update had removed the Bagging strategy that was present in the game since it was released. That strategy allowed players to purposely start the race slow or reverse to ensure that they get a strong item right out of the gate. From there, they could catch up to the players quickly and use the item to their advantage. Oddly enough, the issue was resolved years after it was present and commonly used.
