NVIDIA has officially launched its GeForce RTX 4090 D graphics card in China which comes with very similar performance as the original RTX 4090.
Today, NVIDIA officially launched the GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU for gamers which is designed to bring flagship gaming performance back to Chinese gamers. The card is a very unusual launch & will be limited to Asian markets where the original RTX 4090 had been restricted due to US-based regulations. We exclusively confirmed the existence of this model back in November.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU Specifications
Based on the information that we have regarding the specifications, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D features a cut-down variant of the Ada Lovelace GPU we got on the RTX 4090. This variant is designated as the AD102-250-A1 SKU and should offer lower core counts to keep it within the TPP (Total Processing Performance) requirements set by the US government and make it comply with the latest export rules.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU features 14,592 CUDA cores, a boost clock of up to 2520 MHz, 24 GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 21 Gbps, a 384-bit bus interface, and a TGP of up to 425W. All cards will get triple display outputs including 3 DP 1.4a and a single HDMI 2.1 port. While the card is getting custom models, none of them will support overclocking. Almost all major vendors in China such as MSI, GALAX, ZOTAC, and Inno3D are releasing their custom designs which are the same as the RTX 4090 models.
