Pocketpair’s Palworld continues with its hot streak, selling over seven million copies since launching into early access on January 19th. This is roughly a day after crossing six million units sold. For comparison’s sake, Pokemon Legends: Arceus sold 6.5 million copies in its first week on the Nintendo Switch.
However, the game’s success could be even greater than that. The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley confirmed with the developer that these sales are Steam-only and don’t include Xbox sales or Game Pass players. He estimates about $189 million in Steam sales within the first five days, which is impressive considering the team’s size.
Palworld also saw itself become the second-highest concurrently played game on Steam of all time, with 1,864,421 peak players, beating Counter-Strike 2 in the process. It’s available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, with early access estimated to last about a year. Check out our review here and stay tuned for more details.

Palworld has sold 7 million copies in 5 days on Steam alone.
(I have confirmed with Pocketpair this is a Steam only number, not including Xbox sales or GamePass.)
That translates into approximately $189 million USD in Steam sales in 5 days. pic.twitter.com/eTyhdbRAr6
