Tekken 8's latest gameplay trailer featured a massive surprise for Tekken fans, as it revealed that Kuma has added Heihachi's Electric Wind God Fist to his moveset.
Beyond adding new characters like Azucena, Victor, and Reina, Tekken 8 is also making some notable changes to many of its veteran fighters, such as having Paul with his hair down instead of his typical skyscraper style. Out of everyone, Kuma has had the most interesting update to his design, as he is now heartbreakingly wearing a gi that is inspired by his fallen master, Heihachi.
Kuma's new outfit had some fans wondering if he'd also be getting some of Heihachi's moves to go along with the gi, or if he'd have the same attacks and specials he's always had. At first it seemed like it was just a new design, but the latest Tekken 8 gameplay trailer has confirmed that Kuma has learned a few tricks from Heihachi, as he's now able to do one of his most iconic moves - the Electric Wind God Fist.
Towards the end of the Kuma gameplay trailer, everyone's favourite bear can be seen using Electrics three times in a row to keep Panda up in the air, something that he's never been able to do before. The trailer didn't show if Kuma has any other moves from Heihachi in his arsenal, but at the very least we can see that he's got one of the ones that he's most well-known for.
Although many Tekken fans assumed that Kuma had taken Heihachi's gi, Tekken 8's director noted to TheGamer at a preview event last month that it's more likely that someone made it specifically for him.
Although for some it might just seem like a cute little detail, it's actually a pretty interesting change that finally makes Kuma a bit more unique. It also might mean that Panda has some different moves
