A trademark has been spotted for a new Bleach game titled "Rebirth of Souls" that some are speculating could be the series' first fully-fledged console game since 2011's Soul Resurrección.
With Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections and My Hero: Ultra Rumble having just released in the past few months and Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on the distant horizon, it's a very good time to be a fan of both anime and video games. That being said, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Dragon Ball games are fairly common and come out every couple of years, while other anime properties don't get the same consistent release schedule.
One surprising example of this is Bleach, which might not be as popular as Goku and Naruto's outings, but still stands as one of the most influential anime series in the past few decades. Despite this, it's been a very long time since we got a proper Bleach game, with 2011's Soul Resurrección being the most recent one outside of Japan and the series only getting iOS and Android games in the following years.
That might be about to change, however. As spotted by Twitter user Kurakasis, a trademark has been filed for a game called Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. The trademark was filed by Shueisha Inc. in Europe yesterday, and appears to be a game of some kind as it has the same "Nice classifications" as other recent anime game trademarks.
Although it's been 12 years since the last big Bleach game outside of Japan, it's worth noting that Ichigo has appeared in other anime fighters like 2019's Jump Force.
Although Kurakasis at first pointed out that it's likely to be a PC and console game due to the Nice classifications, they have since said that it's just as likely to be a mobile game since titles like Naruto x Boruto:
