A Palworld player recently captured a Mammorest, despite having around a 0% chance of being successful in their attempt. Nicknamed “Pokemon with guns” by fans, Palworld has been a huge hit since its launch, attracting millions of gamers.
Palworld’s release was an unexpected success. Its developer Pocket Pair is a small indie studio, and many gamers did not take the title very seriously before the launch. However, Palworld became the third game with the most concurrent players in Steam’s history in less than a week, losing only to PUBG and Counter-Strike 2. Palworld also sold over five million copies so far, and it does not seem that its sales are slowing down.

Normally, Palworld players would need to use advanced Poke Ball-like items called Pal Spheres to catch high-level creatures, as well as weaken them first. Generally, this would not be feasible at low levels. However, due to sheer luck, the player managed to do it at Lv.9 against a Lv.33 enemy and using the most basic Pal Spheres. In the short clip, it’s possible to see the player sneaking up on the Mammorest and trying to capture it. They fail the first time, but during the second attempt, their 0% chance quickly becomes 0.15%, increasing to 8% after some moments. Finally, it reaches 100% and they capture the big mammoth-like Pal.
Catching unlikely creatures is one of the main thrills of playing Palworld. Some gamers have recently discovered, though, that it’s also possible to capture other humans in Palworld, such as villagers or hunters. While humans do not seem capturable at first, the Pal Spheres also work on them, albeit with lower percentages than usual. To make this act even more controversial, captured humans can be sold later on the black market, and often fetch a high sum.
Capturing humans is not even the most controversial aspect of Palworld, though. Soon after its release, Palworld w
