Mario vs. Donkey Kong's original ending might be a beloved meme, but it seems that fans actually prefer how the remake ends with a much less upset DK.
With games like Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door, it seems like Nintendo is on a bit of a remake kick lately, something that's just continued with Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the Switch. While Super Mario RPG was a pretty faithful remake that only cut out a few things like an outdated Bruce Lee reference and peace signs, Mario vs. Donkey Kong changes things up a bit more.
