A talented artist and Pokemon fan recently showed off a collection of impressive regional variants and evolutions they designed for popular creatures like Xatu, Hoodlay, and Skitty. Starting with 2016’s Pokemon Sun and Moon, new Pokemon generations have been introducing region-specific alternate versions of existing Pokemon that reimagine them as a different elemental type. Some Pokemon even have multiple variants, such as Meowth having a Dark-type one in Alola and a Steel-type one in Galar.

Some of the more notable examples include a Steel/Normal-type Smeargle variant that paints with a rapier-like tail, a Ghost-type Slugma variant that evolves into a Ghost/Rock hybrid Plascargo, and numerous alternate versions of Dunsparce.
