Fortnite Launches Avatar: The Last Airbender Collaboration Update
The latest collaboration arrives in Fortnite as the Avatar franchise makes its debut with a new limited time event filled with quests, rewards, and new elemental bending abilities players can utilize. In recent years, Fortnite has leaned into collaboration events with other franchises and IPs, seemingly bringing a wide range of content into the already popular Battle Royale. Alongside giants like Marvel and Star Wars, Fortnite fans have seen a ton of collaborations across all types of mediums from the Nike brand, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Anime like Dragon Ball Z, and tons more.
Chapter 5 Season 2 of Fortnite has continued this trend, with the debut trailer showcasing the arrival of Avatar Korra from Nickelodeon's hit TV show, The Legend of Korra. Naturally, speculation then turned to the franchise as a whole, leaving fans to wonder if the rest of the Avatar crew would be getting added as well. Thanks to various leaks and teases, it was soon confirmed that Avatar: The Last Airbender would indeed be coming to Fortnite with a special event bringing numerous features and characters to the Battle Royale for a limited time. With the event now available in Fortnite, Epic Games has revealed all of the details in a new blog post.
In the new Elements event, Fortnite players can take on all four bending techniques from the Avatar franchise to help complete new quests to unlock cosmetics and other rewards. Players can start earning new rewards through a free and premium version of the Elements Pass to unlock gear like the Dramyin Guitar and Sokka's Space Sword Pickaxe, while the upgraded track will grant the Aang Outfit. New Quests will be added every few days, allowing players to earn Chi, which unlocks new tiers on the Elements Pass. Players who finish all six quests from each chapter will earn the Appa Glider.
