Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is only a couple of weeks away, and Rocksteady is attempting to get everyone excited with yet another video from its YouTube series, Suicide Squad Insider. This time, Rocksteady went deeper into the game's customization options and post-launch content, finally confirming after several teases and hints that The Joker is being added in Season 1 as a playable character.
In the video, it's explained that this version of The Joker is not actually the one from the Arkhamverse. Instead, The Joker in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been brought in from a series of differing dimensions called Elseworlds. In this Joker's Elseworld, he wasn't actually the Clown Prince of Crime and hadn't established himself as a supervillain before Braniac's invasion.
Just like the previous leaks suggested, The Joker's method of traversal will be a rocket-powered umbrella that he can use to glide and even grind along the floor with, and his melee weapon will be a cane with a spiked ball on the hand which can fly out and then retract. It's then teased that The Joker may not be the only established major DC villain joining the Suicide Squad roster in the future, and that Rocksteady wants to build a wide selection of villains for players to choose from.
