Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 could finally launch this year, after a long and messy development cycle. This comes three years after its initial planned release in 2020, having first been revealed in 2019.
But now, after years of waiting, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is being listed for release on October 27. If true, this would put it in an already stacked gaming month, up against fierce competition with Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Alan Wake 2, and the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection.

This news comes to us via the Plaion website, shared by ResetEra user Angie. Here, we can see that its release date has been updated to October 27, 2023, rather than unannounced. This could suggest that we'll get a release date announcement soon, especially with Gamescom's Opening Night Live set for tomorrow.
The date is unlikely to be a placeholder, as Plaion typically uses December 31 as a stand-in. It also recently updated its Stalker 2 listings to show a release date of December 1 of this year, so it certainly seems that the distributor is getting ready for a wave of reveals.
This news is quite surprising, given the various hurdles the game has faced in its lengthy development. Almost immediately after its first public delay in 2020, the narrative lead and creative director were removed from the project.
