Sony's selling a lot of PS5 consoles and accessories in the UK at the moment. This largely comes down to a decent discount on the machine, making it a more affordable option. Combined with better supply, which seems to have more or less evened out at this point, and PS5 sales are up 42 per cent month-on-month, with the yearly total up by 60 per cent.
A side effect of these strong PS5 sales is that the accessories chart is currently dominated by PlayStation. Five of the top six accessories are variations of DualSense controllers, with the last slot taken up by the DualSense Charging Station.
In terms of software (digital and boxed sales combined), FIFA 23 comes out on top for August, with Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon a little more surprising in second place. This is followed by a triple whammy of Rockstar titles — from third to fifth, we have Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Red Dead Redemption. The PS4 remaster has brought this decade-old game back into the chart.

I don't get it. What about all the Switch games that keep charting? Is it because Nintendo doesn't share any digital data?
At any rate, sad to see so many old games and remasters doing so well, but good for Armored Core VI.
If anyone still wonders why we don't get any original IPs, this is the reason. Sequels and remasters is what people want (with a few exceptions, I guess).
