Metaball is a free-to-play futuristic sports game based on basketball but in the style of Rocket League. It's played on hoverboards, and teamwork seems even more essential. Dunks, lay-ups, and bombastic special moves make this seem like a frantic good time, provided the fundamentals are solid.
We might have to fire this one up and find out; Metaball features multiple currencies and Rank points, which can be used to unlock equipment and gear, but a focused experience like this means you'll know whether it's for you in just a match or two.
