If you've been dying to see more of Dragon's Dogma 2 after Capcom's official gameplay presentation, you're in luck — a lot of luck. There's now uncut gameplay footage coming out of Tokyo Game Show, with Japanese publications V Jump and IGN Japan each posting ten-minute captures of the action RPG running on PS5.
Regular readers will already know this, but we think Dragon's Dogma 2 is looking fantastic. It's obviously not much of a departure from the first game, but we feel like that's to be expected. Capcom struck gold with the original's combat system, and we're just eager to see how the sequel builds upon what's already there.
These demonstrations give us a better look at the starting classes, which includes Fighter, Thief, Mage, and Archer. There are plenty of smaller gameplay details to spot if you're already familiar with the previous instalment, and overall, we can see this being a blast to actually play.
How do you think Dragon's Dogma 2 is shaping up? Patiently wait for a release window in the comments section below.
Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
I don't know if I'm watching it low res but it doesn't look too much of a step up in graphics from the Dark Arisen PS4 remaster. I would go as far as saying this could run on the PS4 easily. l will probably re watch it later tonight on the PS5 and prove myself wrong lol
Still one of my most anticipated games for next year though and yet another great game to add the list for next year, 2024 is looking like the year of the JRPG's.
