Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of September 25, 2023 to October 1, 2023.
Fate/Samurai Remnant was the highest selling new release, moving 34,728 units on Switch, 21,569 units on PlayStation 5, and 12,203 units on PlayStation 4 for an opening week total of 68,500 retail copies sold.
Ys X: Nordics also debuted at 18,563 units sold on PlayStation 5 and 15,846 units sold on Switch for an opening week total of at least 34,409 retail copies sold. The PlayStation 4 version did not chart in the top 10.
Also new this week, the Switch version of Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai launched at 24,367 retail copies sold. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions did not chart in the top 10.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 56,528 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 45,946 units, the Xbox Series family sold 4,528 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 423 units.
