Normally, I never really report something like this, but a TikTok video fell into my lap showing an iPhone user or an "Apple girly" who rented Galaxy S23 Ultra just so she could record Taylor Swift's performance during one of her Era shows that are currently going on.
Now, one would wonder why anyone would go for a phone different than an iPhone for recording video. For the longest time, we have talked about how iPhones have really good video recording capabilities, but the Galaxy S23 Ultra has one trick up its sleeve that the iPhone does not offer, and that is the ability to zoom really far. Not just in terms of the video, but the zoom-in mic also helped the user capture the video with great audio. Something that iPhones are not capable of doing at the moment. Honestly, you can see the quality between both devices. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, does not offer nearly as good results as one would expect. I have always loved the zoom capabilities of Samsung phones, and while some people call this feature a gimmick, it is safe to say that concertgoers who really love recording their experience have something else to say.
Thankfully, the new iPhone 15 Pro series does offer a good periscope camera, so soon, you won't have to rent a Galaxy S23 Ultra to get the job done. Although this certainly is a good thing, it also is sad news because recently, we heard a rumor that Samsung is phasing out the 10x zoom on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and will possibly replace it with a 5x zoom camera. I am not sure if that will happen, but if you like Galaxy phones just for their zoom capabilities, you might end up disappointed.
