CD Projekt Red continues to find ways to raise the bar on the visuals for Cyberpunk 2077. Today, the latest patch for PC (1.62) adds Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode for support with RTX 40 Cards and RTX 3090.
While some have been able to tweak settings on other 30-series cards to get this to run, the latest mode introduces Path Tracing, which will be the next evolution of Ray Tracing technology. CD Projekt Red states the 30-series will only run this at 1080p resolution and result in 30 FPS.
The update also introduces NVIDIA DLAA support, which is an AI-based anti-aliasing mode that requires a RTX GPU as well as Intel XeSS support and benchmark improvements. DLSS 3 and Frame Generation from the 40-series cards are aimed to alleviate the giant performance hit.
