Grand Theft Auto Online has a new update. Rockstar Games has introduced a new custom vanity license plate maker and some all-new deathmatches and special bonuses.
If you have spent time carefully collecting and customizing your vehicle collection and felt like something was missing, maybe custom license plates will fill that gap. The new license plate creator is live, giving you the opportunity to create up to 30 new custom plates, order them, and then pick them up and use them on eligible vehicles.
This feature is currently free to order, so you can jump in and get started. Select background and your chosen text, and you can pick which vehicle you want to use it on. Those plates do have a few rules that govern creation though.
«License plate text can be rejected and unusable for any of the following reasons:
Like the Rockstar Games team before you, if you want to use a name that doesn’t fit those rules, you may need to get creative. Still, this is a new option that, like Sea of Thieves’ custom ship name feature, that should be fun.
Also in the new 4/20 update are two new deathmatches and some special bonuses. Shake Up is a free for all deathmatch that keeps you on your toes. Every time you kill an enemy or you respawn, your weapon will change to a random one. The announcement does point out a potential strategy. Melee weapons and fists will one-shot enemies.
The second new deathmatch is Top Marks. This is ateam deathmatch mode where your loadout will also change, this time depending on whether your team is winning, losing, or tied. Radar blip behavior will also shift.
There are some special bonuses too, including for Weed Farms and double RP and GTA$ for short trips.
