Raf Grassetti, who is the art director at SIE Santa Monica Studio, has announced that he’s leaving Sony after having spent over a decade at the company. In a recently published Twitter threat, Grassetti announced his imminent departure, and said he’ll have more news to share on where he’s headed next week.
“Sony has played an integral role in shaping my career, and I will forever hold dear the memories and experiences,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am extremely confident in the studio’s continued success, and I hope we can create together again in the future.”
Grassetti was an art supervisor at PlayStation for a little over a year before moving on to SIE Santa Monica Studio, where he initially worked as the studio’s lead character artist. He served as principal artist on God of War (2018), before going on to take up the art director role for is sequel, God of War Ragnarok, which launched last year.
