Square Enix has finally confirmed that Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is going to have another closed beta from April 25 to May 2 on Android devices.
Yesterday marked the 22nd anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, which left a lot of fans expecting some kind of news about the series, whether that be an update on Kingdom Hearts 4, a new reveal, or even just an acknowledgement of something beyond the series turning 22. That isn't what ended up happening, though, as the social media accounts just shared a happy birthday message and left it at that.
Well, it's a whole day late, but we do finally have something Kingdom Hearts to talk about, even if it isn't the news about Kingdom Hearts 4 that everyone was begging for. Instead, we've received a little update on Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link that indicates that development on it is progressing smoothly and hopefully isn't too far from launch.
Over on the official Kingdom Hearts Missing Link Twitter account, it was revealed that a new closed beta test for Android devices will be running from April 25 to May 2. Players who have been selected for the closed beta test will be notified by email on April 19, so there's still a bit of a wait to see if you'll be experiencing the glorious Missing Link Dearly Beloved on your Samsung.
This second closed beta test follows the one that was made available to a select number of players on iPhone devices earlier this year. Beyond giving you the chance to create your own character and see the game's intro, it was mainly focused on letting players mess around with the GPS function and explore the world battling Heartless. Well, provided you had enough AP to get further than your own country, that is.
Although we don't yet have any details on what's going to be included in this closed beta test, it seems very likely that it's just going to be the same content that was available in the iOS version. Hope you weren't expecting any new story details.
