A Pokemon fan is gaining attention for their creation of two adorably chonky plush versions of Legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh and Lugia. The works are a combination of two different artists' efforts, and their hilarious proportions strike fans as adorable.
Lugia and Ho-Oh are two of the eldest Legendary Pokemon in the games, with both being introduced in Gen 2 with Pokemon Silver and Gold. Although Ho-Oh had an appearance in the anime before the game's release, it was largely kept mysterious and secretive until the games launched and players were formally introduced to the two birds. Like most Legendary Pokemon, Ho-Oh and Lugia are elegant and regal, but these plush recreations are anything but that.
Pokemon fan and artist ThimblesThread shared two of their favorite creations on Twitter, referring to them as «Fat Ho-Oh» and «Chonk Lugia.» The two bird Pokemon have been hilariously transformed into incredibly round plush toys, which look good to hug and have amused plenty of Pokemon fans already. Many fans have come out of the woodwork to ask if the two Pokemon plushes are available for sale, which ThimblesThread has replied to, explaining that they'll be working on stocking more for their online shops.
While the needleworker is clearly talented to have created these goofy versions of the Legendary Pokemon, they were quick to share praise with the artist who created the chonky bird patterns they based them on. NazFX_Studios sells the patterns for their plush bird designs on their own shop, so fans who have experience with sewing and craft projects can potentially procure the design and make their own versions of the two Pokemon.
