A talented Pokemon fan has recreated some of the game's most iconic Ghost-type Pokemon in glass, creating a beautiful stained glass sun catcher. The creation, which took the artist about a month to complete, has drawn the attention of fellow Pokemon fans.
Ghost-type Pokemon have been around since Gen 1, and while their roster has expanded significantly over the years, the original ones still have a lot of fans. Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are some of the most recognizable Ghost-types, and Gengar in particular is a huge fan favorite. That particular trio got the stained glass treatment in this charming piece.
Pokemon fan and Reddit user 0Korvin0 shared their art with fans on the Pokemon subreddit. The stained glass sun catcher is seen hanging with the sun behind it, revealing the work in full detail. Haunter sits at the top with a mischievous smile, Gastly below it looks interested in something, and Gengar finishes off the trio, with its usual deviously wicked expression. The individual shades of purple on the Pokemon really shine here, allowing each one to look like they're popping out of the unique art.
Given the execution of the design and the popularity of this particular trio of Ghost-type Pokemon, it's no wonder that the comments are full of fans expressing their admiration for the work. Pokemon stained glass fan art isn't unheard of, but it's a type of craft that not everyone has the knowledge or technical skill to pull off. As such, pieces like these really stand out among the tons of different Pokemon fan art pieces that people create everyday.
Unfortunately, also due to the nature of stained glass, Ghost-type Pokemon fans may be out of luck when it comes to buying this piece. 0Korvin0 does custom stained glass for commission, but this particular piece is too large for them to feel comfortable shipping it and having it arrive in one piece. Fans may be able to work something out if they're willing to visit one of the craft shows the artist attends, however.
