A talented Pokemon fan has shared what a Mega Evolved Talonflame could look like if it were to be introduced. Mega Evolutions were first introduced to gamers when Pokemon Xand Y were released on the 3DS in 2013. The feature was short-lived as the mechanic was dropped from the mainline series when the Pokemonfranchise moved to the Nintendo Switch.
The news that Mega Evolutions would return in Pokemon Legends: Z-A excited players as the battle mechanic remains one of the most popular features in the franchise. As it stands, there are 48 different Mega Evolutions available in the Pokemon franchise, and the announcement sparked debate within the community, leading players to speculate on which monsters could be next to get the Mega treatment.
A Reddit user going by the handle of Macksi_ has created what they think a Mega Talonflame could look like, should the bird be given an opportunity to Mega Evolve. The Fire/Flying-type Pokemon would retain its dual typing, but the design shows flames between each wing and the main body, giving a more powerful look to the creature. Macksi_ has also included two additional color pallets for the Mega Evolved Pokemon, one that is a deeper red to Talonflame’s normal appearance, and one that adapts the striking blue and black color scheme of Mega Charizard X.
When Game Freak announced that Mega Evolutions was returning to the main franchise, there was no shortage of Pokemon fan art depicting Mega Evolved monsters. For example, another dedicated fan has produced artwork depicting Mega Forms of Pokemon, such as Zoroark, Victini, and Seviper. The art was praised for being well-planned and a natural progression for each monster.
As fans wait for the release of the next main entry in the Pokemon franchise, players can still have fun collecting Mega Evolutions in Pokemon GO. Niantic has been slowly adding the Mega forms of Pokemon into the augmented reality mobile game, with Mega Heracross being the latest addition to Pokemon GO.
