The Japanese server of the action RPG is ending its services today, February 20, 2024. The news of World Flipper EOS was dropped a few months ago, with the last chapter released in November 2023. The global version is going to be shut down soon, too.
The last in-game goodies, including Star Guide Stones, were released in December. On December 18, 2023, they shut down any purchases in the game. The last character additions, gacha, and events ended on November 30, 2023. Today marks the day when players can no longer download to play it.
However, you can still use the app to take a walk down memory lane. All in-game functions will stop, and gameplay data will be inaccessible, except for the Stargazing Encyclopedia. It’ll be available offline so you can view the World Flipper encyclopaedia. The app will also let you listen to around 700 background music tracks from the game.
World Flipper was launched on November 27, 2019. After operating for nearly four years, they decided to shut it down as its performance and popularity nosedived over the past couple of years. But the global version is still running, so if you’re yet to try out World Flipper, now’s the time to do so! Head to the Google Play Store and grab the game.
The final update is hitting on May 28, 2024, ending purchases. The official World Flipper EOS is slated for July 25, 2024. The global version is yet to receive a few more updates, including story events, new units and the final chapter of the main story.
The final update will celebrate the third anniversary of the game. And most of the story events and new units that were part of the 3rd anniversary of the Japanese version will be part of this update. Well, most of them, if not all.
