Ultra Instinct Sign Goku hasn't been confirmed for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero after all, despite a new image of Goku bearing a striking resemblance to one of his strongest forms.
Yesterday, after more than a month of waiting, we finally got a new look at Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero in the latest issue of V-Jump. Not only did we get a look at some new battle mechanics, but we also got a bunch of new characters confirmed, from obvious picks like Hit and Kefla to more surprising characters like Dypso and Toppo's base form.
Dragon Ball fans were pretty excited to see so many playable fighters confirmed for Sparking: Zero, but they were no doubt most happy to see what appeared to be Ultra Instinct Sign Goku. In the bottom left of the "Power" page near the explanation of new mechanics, Goku can be seen with battle-damaged clothes and a silver aura which caused many, including us, to assume it was confirmation of Ultra Instinct Sign.

As pointed out by Twitter user Burcol and many other Dragon Ball fans, it seems that the Goku we see in the screenshot is actually just base Goku with a battle-damaged gi deflecting an attack from Vegeta. The silver aura that surrounds Goku is just what appears to happen when you deflect an attack, as we can see it around Vegeta in the first trailer when he does the same thing.
Vegeta and Goku can also be seen fighting in the two screenshots next to the image that was mistaken for Ultra Instinct Sign, giving even more evidence that it's just a battle between their base forms that's being used to show off some mechanics.
Considering how many other characters were confirmed in the scans and how much this version of Goku looks like his Ultra Instinct Sign self, it does make sense that a lot of people hoping to see the character would instantly take it as that, but for now, it looks like he's not yet confirmed for the game.
So where does that leave us when it comes to Ultra Instinct actually making it
