A recent tweet from developer Enrique Colinet revealed that Larian Studios was one of the biggest contributors to Blasphemous' Kickstarter campaign back in 2017. Colinet is the Lead Level Designer at The Game Kitchen, the studio responsible for crafting Blasphemous. Since the Kickstarter campaign, Blasphemous has become an indie hit.
Not only was Larian Studios one of the biggest contributors to the Blasphemous campaign, but the studio donated a four-figure sum. Even more impressive, Larian Studios never asked for any of the Kickstarter perks that were promised to donors. The studio simply wanted to help fund the project. Since then, Blasphemous has become a beloved indie game for many who have played it, even spawning a sequel that was released last year. The series has been hailed by many as some of the best horror Metroidvania games around.
