Final Fantasy 14 players can soon claim an outfit from the series' long history, as the Imp Attire from Final Fantasy 6 will be added to the game during the annual Make-It-Rain Campaign. The upcoming Final Fantasy 14 campaign will let players earn extra points and housing items by playing mini-games in the Manderville Gold Saucer.
The event will kick off one day before the next Letter From the Producer Live broadcast, scheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 7:00 AM Eastern. The Live Letter will touch upon the Job balance going intoFinal Fantasy 14: Dawntrail and the highly-anticipated Job action trailer will likely be shown. Later in the month, an updated Dawntrail PC Benchmark will be released in response to player feedback and bug reports. Though no release date for the Dawntrail PC Benchmark was given at the time of writing, all changes made will also be part of Dawntrail's early access and full release.
The Make-It-Rain Campaign starts on Wednesday, May 15, at 4:00 AM Eastern, and ends on Friday, May 31, at 10:59 AM Eastern. Players who want to earn the Imp Suit and Imp Head must complete a quest chain that starts with «Of Impish Importance.» The quest is given by an Elezen named Quevain, located near the Ul'dah Aetheryte Plaza, and requires Final Fantasy 14 players to reach level 15. After completing the campaign's story quests, players can purchase a Cactuar Dining Table and a Senor Sabotender Chronometer for their houses. Both items will likely be sold for Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP), which can be earned by doing Gold Saucer activities such as the Fashion Report. The amount of MGP rewarded from activities will also be boosted by 50% during the event.
Based on the green water monster from Final Fantasy 6, the Imp Attire was created at the request of Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
