Niantic has dropped some exciting details on Monster Hunter Now Season 2: Dancing In The Tempest. It kicks off next week on June 12th and is packed with new monsters, weapons, armour, a fresh season pass and loads more to keep you all hooked and hunting.
Elder Dragon Interceptions are coming, featuring the ancient and terrifying elder dragons. Leading the charge is Kushala Daora, making its grand debut. Alongside him, you’re getting Khezu and Basarios right at the start of Monster Hunter Now Season 2.
You’ll find Khezu lurking in swamp areas and Basarios roaming the desert once you unlock the right story quests. Niantic has more large monsters lined up to join the fray as the season progresses. You’re also getting fresh skills like Kushala Frostwind, Artillery and Special Insurance.
Gunlance is a new weapon type in Monster Hunter Now Season 2. It combines the defensive might of a lance with explosive firepower. With that, you can unleash Wyvern’s Fire or rain down damage with Burstfire. The more you fire it up, the more powerful it gets.
Every Monster Hunter Now player is getting an extra 250 slots with a free Item Box Expansion, available in the shop. You can now expand your Item Box capacity even more using gems. New hunter medals are up for grabs, which you can flaunt on your Guild Card.
Coral Pukei-Pukei is also popping up at Hunt-a-thon points. Even if some monsters leave the field, you can still snag them by completing urgent quests in the new story quests. And the new season pass lets you snag rewards like cosmetic gear, Zenny and monster parts on the free plan.
Also, did you know? There’s a special celebration for Monster Hunter Stories. This RPG is getting a remastered version on June 14th. So, Monster Hunter Now is joining the party with special event quests that are like a throwback to 2016.
