Valheim has already been a breakout success on PC, and the survival-action game is also now available on Xbox consoles. However, the game isn't currently available on PlayStation platforms or Nintendo Switch. Will it stay that way, or could Valheim come to PS4, PS5, and Switch eventually? Here's what we know right now.
Valheim released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S--including via Game Pass--on March 14, 2023. These versions of the game support cross-play with the PC version, and the games will continue to receive the same updates to ensure compatibility between versions.

If you're hungry to play Valheim but don't own a PC or Xbox, it looks like you'll have to continue to wait. Despite the game being available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S now, versions fo PlayStation and Nintendo platforms have not been announced. That doesn't mean they're never going to happen, but Iron Gate AM has thus far not indicated any plans for those versions.
All that said, it's possible that Valheim's sudden surge in popularity may cause Iron Gate AB to consider shifting its development priorities. Time will tell whether or not we'll see the game show up on more consoles, and we've reached out to Iron Gate AB regarding any news on this front.
