Apple is reported to add another iPad Pro model to the family, one that will feature a massive 14.1-inch display, with the tablet basically entering the notebook category with its screen size. However, one rumor claims that with the extra size, comes a massive specifications bump, with the bigger version said to feature the M3 Pro, offering potentially more CPU and GPU cores than the M3.
The M3 is not even out yet, and Revegnus has published a tweet stating that the 14.1-inch iPad Pro is being tested with the M3 Pro. The tipster has not added another source link, suggesting that whatever information he received, it was through his own sources. With bigger tablets, you have more space to use a more capable cooling solution for better temperatures, but even then, Apple will refrain from using any fans inside the thin and portable iPad Pro.
This means whatever heat dissipation will happen, its reliability will depend on a large heatsink. Vapor chambers are the preferred solution here because of their cooling capabilities and the fact that they are prioritized for thinner products. While this cooler will add some bulk to the iPad Pro, it will be necessary, given that the M3 Pro is rumored to be found inside it. The regular M3 was earlier said to feature an 8-core CPU, just like the M1 and M2, so naturally, the M3 Pro will have more cores when officially announced.
