Apple has big plans for next year's iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. We have previously covered that Apple has reserved the solid-state buttons for the iPhone 16 Pro models. Initially, the hardware was expected to be part of the iPhone 15 Pro models but due to production issues, the feature was delayed. However, Action Button is still rumored to come with the forthcoming flagships. We are now hearing that Apple's iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature bigger display sizes. According to prominent display analyst Ross Young, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display. The analyst told MacRumors that he will detail the exact display size down to two decimal places during the Display Week conference on May 23. Apple is looking to reduce the bezel size with the iPhone 15 Pro models which could mean that to incorporate the same display size, the chassis would have to be struck down by a little. However, if Apple keeps the same form factor of the device with slimmer bezels, the company could incorporate a slightly bigger display.
This is the first time that we are hearing details on the iPhone 16 Pro's display sizes. Additionally, if the news has any heft to it, the devices will feature the biggest displays on an iPhone ever. Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max feature a 6.7-inch display. We have not heard any details on the display sizes of the iPhone 15 Pro models. Henceforth, we can presume that the display size will remain the same on the forthcoming models. The analyst also mentions that he has heard of no future display plans for the standard models.
