Inkbound has a new, updated roadmap that developer Shiny Shoe is calling the final update until 1.0. New additions to the list of features they’re aiming for the 1.0 launch include localization, badges and trading cards, and more.
The team published a roadmap update over on the Inkbound Steam page. This serves to announce that yes, they’re working on expanding the game into additional languages. They are working on Chinese and Japanese and promise that more languages will be announced. In addition to this, they will be building in Steam Trading Cards as well as badges. In the 1.0 release, they are also planning a series of Records tracking options and end screen stats. so if you have a particularly great run, you can now immortalize that. You can also use it to pick apart your build and fine-tune some things.
Shiny Shoe has shared a list of the full roadmap that they are planning for the 1.0 release, which still does not yet have a date. In this update, they do address this and say they're not ready to announce the date just yet, but an official announcement will be coming. They're also teasing additional surprises.
The rest of what’s on the way, in addition to new languages, cards, and records include Steam Deck support, controller support, new Vestiges, Vestige sets, and the ability to reorder Vestiges. Expect more cosmetics on the way, and a way to reset your character data for a fresh start. There will also be matchmaking improvements, more boss variety, and a new “Ultimate Final Boss!”. Finally, Inkbound will reveal its full story, with new prologue cutscenes. In fact, some of these made it into the game today, in update 0.3.5.
