Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, says that one of his biggest aspirations for 2024 is for fans of the series to get to see "Aerith's fate unfold".
As exciting as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's explorable open-world, new playable characters, and host of combat changes are, the big thing that most players are excited (or, to put it more accurately, terrified) to see is who is going to kick the bucket at the end of the game.
